Moody Beach, 3rd Beach Washington

The rugged Washington coast has a brooding feel.  My eldest daughter carried most of our camping gear the mile in and down to this Third Beach alcove.  It was magical, full of mist.  We pitched the tents and set forth to discover water treasures and sea creatures.  We found ourselves exploring a beautiful, rugged, wind swept sea.   

I used dry brush over a watercolor wash to capture the power of the grey.
